Agshi (Gulabgarh, J&K) is truly a heaven on earth, located in the Mahore subdivision of Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir. Surrounded by the majestic Pir Panjal ranges of the Himalayas, this place offers breathtaking natural beauty, cool climate, and peaceful surroundings.Despite its beauty, this place is still ignored by higher authorities and remains unexplored. It has huge tourism potential, and if developed properly, it can become one of the most attractive destinations in Jammu & Kashmir.

Currently, Agshi suffers from poor road connectivity.

The road ends at Pigiala
From there, visitors must walk around 30 minutes to reach Agshi
The route from Mahore to Pigiala takes around 3–4 hours by Sumo/Tempo due to bad road conditions

If higher authorities focus on building proper roads, Agshi can become a major tourist hub and a key route connecting nearby regions.

How to Reach Agshi

If you are coming from Jammu:

Jammu → Reasi → Mahore → Bagga
From Bagga, travel to Pigiala (last motor point)
From Pigiala, reach Agshi by a short trek (approx. 30 minutes)

Facilities and Challenges

Agshi is still an unexplored destination, which makes it beautiful but also challenging.

No proper guest houses or hotels
Limited facilities for tourists
Basic infrastructure is missing

However, this also makes it a perfect place for camping lovers and nature explorers.
